Three medals in the field events, a new school distance medley record and host of individual qualifiers for Sunday's event finals were some of the highlights for the St. John's track & field team on the first day of the 2015 BIG EAST Indoor Track & Field Championship staged at the New Balance Track & Field Armory on Saturday afternoon. Through six scored events, the Red Storm currently sits in third place out of eight in the women's team standings with 39 points, behind only leader Villanova (45) and second place Marquette (40).
