A winning effort in Saturday's 4x400-meter relay served as a fitting end to a successful weekend of competition for the St. John's women's track & field team at the 32nd Annual Victor Lopez Bayou Classic hosted by Rice University in Houston, Texas. The Red Storm quartet of sophomore Pariis Garcia, junior Claire Mooney and seniors Amber Allen and Shayna Presley broke the tape first in 3:44.95, besting host and runner-up Rice by a full two seconds in a season's best performance.
